The One with all the Babies

Nope, still no announcements here.  This post is about our no-longer-recent trip to Arizona for Eden's baby blessing Labor Day weekend.  Justin is awesome and drove the whole way!  We were smart and cut it in half by staying at Don and Wendi's in Las Vegas Friday night.  This was great because 12 straight hours in a car is a long time and also because we found these-

Hulk Hands!!

We made it to Yuma early Saturday afternoon and Mom, Dad, Wendy, Timmy and Wyatt pulled in a few hours later.  It wasn't long before this happened-

Mom is such a good grandma!  Timmy looooved playing "pat-a-cake" and "speckled frogs on a log."

Such concentration!  Oh and look in the background.  When did Dad switch napping chairs?

Sunday morning we all got ready for church where Steve would bless Eden.  Justin let me tie his tie.  I did such a good job!!

Or maybe not.  He retied it.

After church Mom and I had a photoshoot with both new babies, Eden and Wyatt, on the blankets I crocheted for them.

Wyatt first.

What a cutie!

Eden is just over two weeks older than Wyatt and she started out bigger.  She made him look so tiny!

So sweet!

This is Edie's "I'm hungry!" face.  Bwahahaha!! Don't ask how I got such an amazing shot of it.  I'm just that good :)

Tons of pictures of me holding babies.  I don't know why Eden looks so scared, I'm great with babies :)

I took this one myself because her little face looked so sweet.  She was only a month old and holding her own head up to look all over the place.  Too cute!!

I learned on this trip that Timmy has an interesting security blanket- Wendy's hair.  He likes to twist his fingers in it and that helps him go to sleep.  What a good mommy!  I've already told Justin my hair will be cut short if our kids pull it.  Have to prepare him now, he likes my hair as long as it can be.

Oh no- a crying, unhappy baby!

I'm on it!

See!  I said I was good :)

Heather and Steve made some delicious fajitas to feed all the family after church.  Steve's friend Johnny brought some of his kids over as well.  All the kids had a blast playing in the den until...

That's right!  I had to lay down the law.  Lesson learned- do not have a pillow fight with Cindy and Justin's pillows!  We like them fluffy and in their pillowcases still thank you very much.  I love that Anistyn had my back.

I am also a good aunt to the older nieces/nephews.  Proof.

We've been debating whether to use these next pictures as Christmas cards this year.

Look what we've got!!

Aren't babies wonderful?

What do you mean she's not ours and we can't take her?!!

As I'm writing this I honestly just freaked out a little thinking we could really look like the middle picture within the next year.  Yay!!!  And aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

We passed this billboard on our way back home through LV.  Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!  Awesome!!

The One with No Place Like It

And the place where nothing is like it would be home.  I love going back to AZ to visit my family!!  And return to the heat.  Believe it or not I can still get cold in the evenings up here.  This trip was especially special (is that reduntant?) because we blessed my three new niece and nephews.

I flew in late Wednesday night and was picked up by quite the crowd: Amy, Seth, Makayla, Dillon, Lisa and Anistyn.  Makayla was so nice as to even save me some of the gummy bears she was eating on the way.  Or more accurately one gummy bear (she said it counts as 3 because it was her favorite flavor).  Such a funny girl!

Most of the time we just hung out at Amy's house and got caught up.  Not that there was much to catch up on since we talk almost every day but we somehow had loads to tell each other :)  I was finally able to see Seth in person.  So cute and sweet!!  I kept saying how small he was and Amy said he'd already gained 2 pounds!  Dillon was a little hesitant around me at first- who is this lady?!  But he warmed up to me pretty quickly and realized who the fun aunt is!  Kaden and Makayla also showed me how good they're getting at the Dance Central game for Kinect.  Apparently Lisa had such a fun time playing it up at Travis's sister's house last April that they bought it.  Such an addicting game!!

Makayla and her friend Morgan playing Dance Central.

Kaden is pretty good at this dancing game.  And apparently enjoys church dances as well.  Maybe these moves are why he gets to dance with so many ladies :)

This move is called the "sexy jerk."  Um, sure.

My other videos aren't loading :( so we'll move on to...
Random pictures from the weekend:
I caught Dillon with his hand in the cookie jar, I mean dog dish.  I know someone else did this when they were little.  Now who was it again...

I went in to wake Kaden up so he could start his online school and noticed he was wearing some interesting pajamas...

 Cute brothers :)

Sweet little Seth

I try to make a baby blanket for each of my nieces and nephews.  Unfortunately this recent spurt left me a little behind but I did have both Anistyn's and Hunter's done before I flew down.  Lisa and I had a little photo shoot with Anistyn and her super girly blankie.  Just working on the final border for Seth's now so hopefully I can post pictures of that one soon.  And possibly a picture of Hunter with his blankie.  I forgot it at Amy's house during the blessing so I didn't get any photos while I was there :(

Lisa and Amy were planning a luncheon for everybody after the blessings so Amy and I went in search of a good farmer's market Friday afternoon to get all the veggies needed for toppings, bean dip, salsa and guacamole.  All of my sisters have gotten into "couponing."  I use them pretty regularly myself but I was amazed at the amounts of food Amy bought while I was there for minimal cost!  For example, it cost just over $5 to get everything for both my salsa and guacamole recipes at the farmer's market which usually cost that much separately at the grocery store!  And they tasted so fresh and delicious- I was impressed.  Maybe I'll have to look into some farmer's markets up here...

Friday night we picked Justin up from the airport (how many trips does it take to pick up me and my husband from the airport?  Answer- too many).  I was able to pack all of his clothes and things in my suitcase so all Justin "carried on" to the plane was his toothbrush!  Too funny!  Amy, ever the dental professional, made sure he had a sanitary cover or she would have made him throw the toothbrush away- after all that hard work!

And then Saturday was the big day.  How fun to have a triple blessing!  How many families have those huh?  It was really neat for me to see Justin standing in the blessing circle with all the other men in the family.  It will be even better when he's holding our own child but that won't happen for a few more years (sorry to disappoint :)  We woke up early that morning to get all the food and people ready and still ran a little behind.  What a spread though.  I had a lot of fun getting to talk to my family in person again and felt like a hummingbird running around catching up.  Sometimes I feel bad for Justin at these get togethers.  He's such a good sport!  Not that I ignore him when we're with my family, but he knows how close we all are and lets me get in as much time as I can while I can.

All the boys ready to head over to the church.  So handsome!

Makayla asked me to do her hair.
Turned out pretty cute :)
Seth patiently waiting to be blessed.  Mom
does such an amazing job on the outfits!

Apologies to the other babies who were blessed.  I got distracted by this cute little girl and didn't get any good shots of Anistyn or Hunter :(

What a cute dress!  Callie is such a social butterfly.
I love that funny little girl!!
Cousins!!  We are getting dangerously close to
Grandma Taylor's brood.
Catching up at Amy's house.
I think Wendy looks so pretty in this shot.
Cute cousins & friends :)
Justin making silly faces.
Callie making silly faces.
See, Dillon did warm up to me :)
Kaden is almost as tall as me!!  This may be the last time I
see the top of his head :(
Makayla didn't want me to go home.  I didn't want me to either!
Four days was definitely not long enough.  I could have stayed a week and it wouldn't have been long enough!

P.S.  Here are some cool shots Justin took from the plane flying over the Grand Canyon and a huge rainbow we saw landing in Salt Lake.
